KRISTINE JOHNSON

Kristine Johnson, aged seventy-eight years, two months and seven days, passed away at the home of her daughter, Miss Caroline Johnson of Blair on last Friday evening, May 18.

She had been a patient sufferer for years, having suffered a paralytic stroke about ten years ago from which she never recovered and another stroke a short time ago was finally the cause of her death.

Deceased was born in Denmark and came to this country in her young womanhood, settling on a farm near Aurora, Nebr. Later she and her husband moved to Marquette, Nebr., where her husband died.

The daughter, Miss Caroline Johnson, was later elected to a position on the faculty of Dana College and they moved to Blair where they have since made their home.

Every care that loving hearts could give was showered on the mother and the family of three children gathered at the home as often as possible and were all present at the last sad rites which occurred Sunday.

One son, James, lives at Aurora and it was to this place that the body was taken last Sunday for interment after the ceremonies at the Danish church in this city which were conducted by Rev. Nielsen and Rev. Hansen. The other son, Louis, lives at Plainview and the two brothers, with the sister, grieve deeply the loss of the mother.
