JAMES INGRAM, 47; 8/1/1949 – 3/4/1997

James Le Roy Ingram, 47, died Tuesday, March 4, 1997, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

Services were March 8 at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. Rev. Gary Warrick officiated. Burial was in the Arlington National Cemetery.

Ingram was born Aug. 21, 1949, in Onawa, Iowa, to Kenneth and Shirley Ingram. He was confirmed in the Christian Church of Onawa. He grew up in Onawa and attended Onawa High School and Western Iowa Technical College where he received a degree in photography.

He married Barbara Otte on Aug. 28, 1993, at Country Bible Church in Blair. He was a heavy equipment operator for road construction in Iowa and Nebraska. He received the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star in Vietnam and was honorably discharged from the Army.

He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Association and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3421.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; daughters, Christy, Cathy and Christina; his parents; five brothers, Bob of Charles City, Iowa; Don, Steve and Bruce, all of Onawa; and Mike of Mapleton, Iowa; two sisters, Marilyn Schroder and Tracy Ingram, both of Onawa; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary.

Ingram was the son-in-law of Arnold and Marlene Otte of Fort Calhoun.
