OBITUARY

The funeral of Mr. George H. Ireland was held from his son’s home, Chas. Ireland, of Blair, Saturday, Dec. 30th, at 1:00 p.m., Rev. Stansbury officiating.

Mr. Ireland was born march 15th, 1834, and died Dec. 28, 1911. He married Suzetta E. Miller March 13th, 1857. Five boys and one girl were born to Mr. and Mrs. Ireland, one son, together with the father and mother, being dead.

Mr. Ireland was a member of the First Christian Church of this place for 40 years, and was Elder for a time.

For the last few years he has made his home with his daughter Mrs. Dan McManigal, near Calhoun where he died.

“The cloud and storm encompass thee, Be not afflicted nor afraid; thou knowest the shadow could not be, Were there no sun beyond the shade.

“For thy beloved dead and gone, Let sweet, not bitter tears be shed; Nor open thy dark saying on The harp as though thy faith were dead.”

The funeral of Charles R. Ireland was held from the home of his son, Charles Ireland, in Blair on Saturday, December 30, at 1 o’clock p.m., Rev. Stansbury officiating.

Mr. Ireland was born March 15, 1834, and died December 28, 1911. He was married to Suzetta E. Miller on March 13, 1857, and to this union five boys and one girl were born, one son, together with the father and mother, being dead.

Mr. Ireland was a member of the Christian church of this place for forty years and was elder for a time. For the last few years he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. McManigal, near Ft. Calhoun, where he died.
