MRS. MELVON IRELAND DIED WEDNESDAY

Word has been received of the death of a former Blair resident, Mrs. Melvon Ireland, at her home in Norfolk, Nebr., on Wednesday, Nov. 13. She had been ill with cancer for a year. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Methodist Church in Norfolk. Interment services will be held at Fremont, Nebr., at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Joyce French Ireland, 41 years of age, was born on a Washington County farm, where she spent her early years until moving to Fremont with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett French. In 1953 the family moved to Blair, where Rev. Ireland was minister of the First Methodist Church. In 1958 the family moved to their present home in Norfolk.

Survivors include her husband; son David, 17 years of age; daughters, Judy 15 and Lynne, 10; mother, Mrs. Edith French; sisters, Mrs. Houston Woodard and Mrs. Cliff Wood; and a brother, Lynn French, all of Whittier, Calif.
