O.M. IRELAND PASSES AWAY AT MASONIC HOME

WELL KNOWN IN COUNTY: MASON, O.M. SERVED AS DEPUTY SHERIFF

O.M. Ireland, well known in Blair and Washington County, passed away last night at midnight at the Masonic Home in Plattsmouth, where he and his wife had resided for the past three years.

Deceased, at his death, was past 85 years of age. He had spent most of his life in this county where his chief occupation was farming. In his later years, he retired from the farm and moved to Blair, and for a number of years, served as deputy sheriff of the county.

He was a member of the Masonic order and of the Eastern Star, having served in every capacity as a Mason and, for a long term of years, as Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star.

As a man and as a Mason he was held in high repute and his friends will be grieved to know that he is gone. He leaves to mourn him, his aged wife; three sons, Void of Blair; Clifford and Louie of Omaha; and a daughter, Mrs. Fred Huff of Louisville, Nebraska.

The remains have been brought to Blair but funeral arrangements have as yet not been completed. The services will be under the auspices of the Masonic organization.
