LEONARD G. IRVIN SR., 83

Leonard G. Irvin Sr., 83, of Omaha, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, in Omaha.

A Masonic service, conducted by the John J. Mercer Lodge No. 290, AF&AM, was held Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the Heafey-Heafey-Hoffman-Dworak-Cutler West Center Chapel, with funeral services Thursday, also at the funeral home. Interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military honors provided by American Legion Post No. 1.

Leonard G. Irvin was born in Glenwood, Iowa, to McKinley W. and Claire (Muriel) Irvin.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Leonard G. Jr. and Denise Irvin of Plattsmouth; daughters and sons-in-law, Sally and Fred Pfeffer of Papillion; LuAnn L. and Geno Cannon of Lincoln; grandchildren, Nicholas John Irvin, Matthew, Sarah and Benjamin Pfeffer, and McKinley J. and Joseph K. Recek.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary C. Irvin.

Memorials are suggested to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children-Burn Center.
