SERVICES HELD FOR MISS IDA JOHNSON

Miss Ida Johnson died Saturday, September 6th at the Bergen Mercy Hospital in Omaha where she had been confined for three weeks.

She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Magnus Johnson on May 9, 1887 on a farm in the Brewster School District near Kennard. In 1912 she came to Blair with her parents and has resided here until her death at the age of 82.

She was one of the oldest members of the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and was active in the St. Mary’s Guild for many years.

Survivors are her sister, Emma Johnson and a brother, Lawrence Johnson, both of Blair.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 8th at the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. The Rev. Wm. Shattuck officiated. The Campbell Mortuary was in charge of arrangements and burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gerald and John Foley of Blair, Victor Payne of Omaha, all nephews of Miss Johnson; and Charles Wilkinson of Lincoln; Willis Van Gleasen of Gary, Indiana; and Philip McLaughlin of Miller Park, Illinois, who are husbands of Miss Johnson’s nieces.
