A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 8, at Christ Community Church in Omaha for Leon Edward Ehlers, 62 of Omaha who died January 1, 1994.

Leon Edward Ehlers was born June 26, 1931, at Elkhorn, Nebraska. He attended rural schools there and graduated from Wranch School in rural Blair.

He was a real estate manager with Robert Hancock Co. in Omaha.

He is survived by two sons, Lee and John, both of Omaha; a daughter, Joni Weddington of Lincoln; a brother, Fred of Fort Calhoun; three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society and the Open Door Mission.
