Funeral services were Tuesday, February 17, at Spear Funeral Home in Scribner for Marvin J. Johnson, of Fremont, who died Feb 13, at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha after a brief illness.

Marvin J. Johnson was born in rural Scribner to Charles and Olga (Godel) Johnson on October 12, 1909. He worked as an electrician in Scribner for more than 20 years. He married Dorothy Marotz. The couple owned and operated D & M Ceramics.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; and two sons, LaVon Johnson of Fremont and Robert L Johnson of Leigh. Three Brothers, Murrell Johnson and Leroy Johnson, both of Scribner, and Kenneth Johnson of Blair, and four grandchildren also survive.

Spear Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
