Services Are Held Monday For Barbara Gaul

Funeral services were held Monday, August 25, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling, Iowa, for Barbara Gaul, who died Friday, August 22, at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. Rev. Jon Kautzky conducted the services.

Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Earling.

Barbara Gaul was born August 26, 1950, in Central City, Nebraska, to Emil and Henrietta (Peetz) Kuhl. On December 5, 1970, she married Neal Gaul in Earling, Iowa.

She worked part-tie as a licensed practical nurse at Little Flower Haven Nursing Home in Earling until her illness as well as being a wife and mother. She found out that she had leukemia about one year ago. On May 8 of this year, she entered the hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Neal, Earling; one son, Dan; and three daughters, Angie (Angela), Stephanie, and Sara, all still living at home in Earling. Her parents; three sisters, Beverly Recoy, Fremont, Linda Vicek, Lincoln, and Brenda Stone, Blair; and five brothers, Wayne Kuhl, Arlington; Vern Kuhl, Bennington; Irwin Kuhl, Irvington; and David Kuhl and Rodney Kuhl, both of Blair, also survive her.

Pallbearers for the services were friends and neighbors from Earling, Iowa.

Pauley Funeral Home in Harlan, Iowa, was in charge of arrangements for the services.
