Services for Frieda A. Gaver, 82, who died at Crowell Memorial Home April 25, 1992, at Blair, were Tuesday, April 28 at Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah. Rev. Charles A. Bailey officiated. Burial was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Frieda Augusta Gaver was born to Fred and Minnie Steffen Moeller at their home in Fort Calhoun February 27, 1910. She received her education in the Fort Calhoun Schools, graduating from high school in 1929.

She married Ernest William Gaver September 23, 1931, in Blair. They lived most of their lives on farms in the Burt County area. They later moved to Herman where she worked in a restaurant and did housekeeping for several families in the area.

She had a small gift shop in her home where ceramics and handiwork were available. She also baked and made things for the Memorial Community Hospital Auxiliary rummage sales. She also was a member of a monthly birthday coffee club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest on March 7, 1991; her parents, two sisters, Gretchen Moeller and Eliese Webster and two grandchildren, Ernest Conklin and Robin Goree.

She is survived by seven children, Mabel Beaty of Portland, Oregon; Ruth Fisher of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Clinton Gaver of Norwood, Missouri; Larena Haswell of Lyons, Nebraska; Ellen Boever of Tekamah; Helen Updike of Lyons, Nebraska and Dale Gaver of Blair; 30 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren.

Casket bearers wee grandsons, Earl Gaver, Todd Conklin, Robert Beaty, Ira Gaver, Ron Goree and Dale Gaver, Jr.
