Services for Henrietta Drevsen Gay, a resident of Parkview Home and formerly a Grand Island, Nebraska, resident who died December 14, 1992, at the Freeport Memorial Hospital in Freeport, Illinois, are 10 a.m. Friday, December 18 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Burial will be in the Kennard Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Henrietta Drevsen Gay was born in Kennard to Henry and Anna Drevsen. She was a graduate of Fremont College and taught in schools in Creighton, Bassett and Grand Island, Nebraska.

She was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Nebraska State Mother’s Committee for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Rednall Gay, two brothers, Ottis and George and one sister, Lyda Shadley.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and James Madden of Freeport; her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Betty Lane Gay of Hopewell, Virginia; her brother and his wife, Delmar and Maxine Drevsen of Grand Island; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established for the Freeport WYCA and the First Presbyterian Church of Grand Island, Nebraska.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
