Kathryn Eggen, 87, of Blair, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 1997, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.

A memorial service will be held at a later time. Hilda Kathryn Eggen was born at Stella, Neb., the youngest of seven children. She taught grade school before marrying Harold Eggen in 1936. She moved to Omaha, where she taught adult education. She later had an interior decorating business. She moved to Blair in 1980.

She is survived by her husband, Harold; children, Elaine Meyers, Denver, Colo.; Eric Eggen, Helena, Mont.; three grandchildren, Scott Underwood, Steve Underwood and Sarah Eggen; two great-grandsons, Alex Underwood and Jeff Weaver; and one sister, Helen Spickler, Brookings, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Tracy Kathryn Underwood.
