A message came to Sheldon Peck last Sunday evening announcing the dangerous illness of his sister-in-law, Mrs. J. L. Gardner, at the Old Peoples Home in Omaha where she has made her home for some time past. Mr. Peck went to Omaha on the early Monday morning but death following a paralytic stroke, occurred at 10:30 A.M. before his arrival there.

Mrs. Gardner resided in Blair a number of years, her husband dying some ten years ago. A sister of deceased, Mrs. Armstrong, formerly a resident of this city, is also living in Omaha. Funeral service was held in Omaha and the body brought here for interment by the side of her husband on Wednesday.

Mrs. J. L. Gardner, a former resident of Blair, died in Omaha Monday and the body was brought here for burial, which was made direct from the train Wednesday afternoon. Deceased was a sister-in-law of Sheldon Peck and had many friends here.
