ALICE KAER, 75

Services were Wednesday, January 6 at Roeder Mortuary in Omaha for Alice Kaer, 75 who died at Immanuel Hospital January 4, 1993. Rev. James Cunningham officiated. Burial was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Alice Kaer was born in Gregory County, South Dakota April 13, 1917 to Frank and Emma Vavruska. She graduated from Gregory High School and moved to Omaha to work.

She married Olaf Kaer November 22, 1941. She assisted in their farming operation in rural Washington County.

She was a member of the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church and the Coffman Club.

She is survived by her husband, Olaf; a daughter and son-in-law, Jean and John Barry; grandsons, Jeff and Scott, all of Kearney, Nebraska; sisters and brothers-in-law, Very and Tony Kreiker and Eva and Floyd Novy, all of Omaha; sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers were Vilas Petznick, Dean Schneider, Clifford Staben, Bill Stratbucker, Albert Suverkrubbe and Dana Wolf.

Gwen Post was organist. Laurie Wilson was soloist.

Memorials may go to the Fort Calhoun Rescue Squad or the American Cancer Society.
