SERVICES FOR CAROLINE JUEDES WERE MONDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Juedes, 94, were at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Arlington. Pastor Robert Backhus officiated.

Mrs. Juedes died Thursday morning at Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

Born January 13, 1885, in Nu Melle, Mo., she had lived in Gurley, Deshler and in Nampa, Idaho before moving to Arlington in 1955. Mrs. Juedes was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington.

She was married February 7, 1907, in Deshler to Albert Juedes. He died November 17, 1965.

Survivors of Mrs. Juedes include: sons, Edwin of Arlington and Raymond of Nampa, Idaho; daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Esther) Frerich of Gurley and Mrs. Fred (Arlene) Klug of Arlington; sisters, Mrs. Paul (Lydia) Poppitz of Willow Springs, Mo. and Mrs. Henry (Martha) Horst of Sidney.

Burial was in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

Reckmeyer Funeral Home, of Arlington, was in charge of arrangements.

Caroline Juedes was born January 13, 1885 at Nu Melle, Missouri. She was the daughter of William and Wilhelmine (Schiermeier) Thiemann. She was united in Holy Matrimony with Albert Juedes February 7, 1907 at Deshler, Nebraska. She lived at Deshler and Gurley, Nebraska and Nampa, Idaho before coming to Arlington in 1955. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Arlington. Her husband Albert preceded her in death on November 17, 1965. Also preceding her were her parents; daughters, Florence and Viola; and 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

Caroline passed away Thursday, September 27, 1979 at Good Shepherd Home in Blair, Nebraska at the age of 94 years, 8 months and 14 days. She is survived by 2 sons, Edwin and Raymond; 2 daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Esther) Frerichs and Mrs. Fred (Arlene) Klug; 2 sisters, Mrs. Paul (Lydia) Poppitz and Mrs. Henry (Martha) Horst; 22 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren
