Edgar R. Geesaman, 68

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church in Fort Calhoun for Edgar R. Geesaman, 68, of Madison, Wisconsin. Geesaman died suddenly at a Madison hospital on Monday, April 2.

Edgar R. Geesaman was born August 2, 1921, in Omaha to Dr. Edgar and Clara Rohwer Geesaman of Fort Calhoun. He married Clarice Singsaas August 1, 1964.

He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1942 and from Harvard Law School in 1950. In 1977, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin.

He served in the United States Army from 1942-45. He received the bronze star while serving as an intelligence officer in Europe.

He was a partner in the law firm of Fitzgerald, Hamer, Brown and Leahy from 1950-1974.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

He is survived by his wife, Claire; a daughter, Cathryn (Mrs. Lynn) Hunt of Loveland, Colorado; and two brothers, Dr. Richard Geesaman of Boulder, Colorado, and Donald Geesaman of Edina, Minnesota.

Joyce Funeral Home in Madison, Wisconsin, is handling the arrangements for the services.
