Emma S. Gehrt, of Herman, Died Last Friday

Emma S. Gehrt, a resident of Herman, died Friday, December 5, at the Blair Hospital. She was a native of Arlington, having been born there March 6, 1896. She was 79 years old.

She was the widow of the late Albert N. Gehrt.

She is survived by a son and two daughters. The son is John (Jack) Ericksen, of Herman. The daughters are Mrs. Liberty Clements of Herman and Mrs. Jeraldine Svoboda, of Colorado Springs. There are seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by four brothers and three sisters.

The brothers are: Joe Weber of Tekamah, Pete Weber of New London, Wisconsin, Julius Weber of Herman and Red Weber, also of Herman.

The sisters are Mrs. Clyde Stork of Tekamah, Mrs. Mattie Bartling of Craig and Mrs. Margarite Barker of Tekamah.

Funeral services were held in the Herman Legion Hall Monday afternoon. The Rev. William Wittaker, of Herman, conducted the service. Burial was made in the Herman Cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Clements, Robert Clements, Bernard Clements, John Eriksen, Roger Barber and Robert Wedgewood.
