Mildred Rose Jungbluth, baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.E. Jungbluth, was born at the farm home, one mile north of Elk City and three and a half miles west of Washington, August 5th, 1912. She received the holy baptism at Omaha, Neb., September 29, 1912. A severe cold of a few weeks ago developed into whooping cough and finally resulted in spinal meningitis. She lay an unconscious sufferer for eight days and on the ninth day contracted the measles. Under these complications she silently passed away Thursday evening, April 22nd, 1914, at 8 o’clock, being therefore one year, eight months and eighteen days of age. A mother, father, three brothers and one sister are left to mourn the sudden demise of this unusually bright and beautiful baby. The funeral was held Sunday at Elk City, Rev. A.B. Grossman officiating.
