OLAF C. KAER, 84

Olaf C. Kaer, 84, of Fort Calhoun, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, in Blair.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. Interment will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Olaf Charles Kaer was born May 23, 1918, in Washington County.

On Nov. 22, 1941, he married Alice Vavruska. She preceded him in death in 1993.

Mr. Kaer was a member of Solomon Lodge No. 10 AF & AM in Fort Calhoun, Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church and The Fraternal Order of Eagles.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jean and John Barry of Kearney; sisters, Marie Thomas of Blair and Myrtle Patterson of Omaha, and two grandsons.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Weeces and Eva Wilson, and a brother, Hans Kaer.

Memorials are suggested to the Fort Calhoun Rescue Squad or the American Cancer Society.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
