Charlotte Geisler

Charlotte Geisler, 104, of Winslow died Sunday, May 30, 2004, at Fremont Area Medical center.

Charlotte Kuss was born Sept. 2, 1899, in Washington County, Nebraska. She lived in Washington County until she was 8 years old, when her family moved to a farm near Winslow. She has lived in the Winslow area ever since.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont; former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Winslow and the Ladies Aid; former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Hooper, the Ladies Aid and the Dorcas Society.

She married Alfred E. Geisler on Feb. 16, 1928, at Winslow. He died Nov. 27, 1991.

Survivors include: a son, Lowell (and wife, Katie) Geisler of Hooper; a daughter, Marion (Mrs. LeRoy) Stork of Winslow; a sister-in-law, Lorene Kuss of Scribner; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, four sisters-in-law, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont with the Rev. Timothy Gierke officiating. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Wednesday, all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time Thursday at the church.

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Memorials have been established to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont and The Lutheran Hour.
