Service for Otto Johnson Held Friday

Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Reckmeyer Funeral Home in Arlington for Otto H. Johnson, 94, who died Tuesday at Blair.

Johnson was a retired farmer and previously lived in Arlington. He was born near Wahoo June 17, 1880 and also had lived in Syracuse and Nickerson.

He was one of the founders of People’s Cooperative Store in Fremont and was its president for several years.

He married Ruth Almquist June 6, 1906, in Fremont. She died in 1936. He married Sadie Holm in 1939. She died May 20, 1973.

He is survived by two sons, Ray E. Johnson of Rochester, N.Y., Russell C. Johnson, Manlius, N.Y.; one brother Elmer Johnson, Sarasota, Fla; two sisters, Mrs. Lewis (Minnie) Million, Sidney; Mrs. H.P. (Lillie) Fraass, Dalton.

Pallbearers were Kent Pflug, Terru Brown, Thomas, Brown, Timothy Brown, LeRoy Brown, Arlyn Johnson.

The Rev. Guy McClure of Crowell Memorial Home in Blair officiated at the services. Burial was in the Arlington Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established for the Crowell Memorial Home.
