#1-19 Oct., 1910 - The Pilot - Sessa (Nelson) Johnson

Magnus Johnson’s mother, Mrs. Mons Johnson, died Sunday morning of old age, being 86 years, 9 months and 10 days old, and the funeral was held at the farm home of her son at 1 o’clock yesterday, Rev. Lang of the Danish church officiating. Her husband died about 20 years ago, and she had made her home with Magnus, her only son, for the past 15 years. They came to this country from Landrene, Sweden in 1865, and were therefore among the earliest settlers.

OBITUARY

Sessa Nelson was born in Sweden on January 6, 1824 and was married to Mans Johnson in 1855 and moved to this country in 1865. She died on Oct. 16, 1910 which makes her age 86 years, 9 months, 10 days. She leaves to mourn her loss one son, Magnus Johnson and his wife and seven grandchildren with whom she has made her home for the last 15 years, her husband, Mans Johnson having died some 20 years ago. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Lang of Blair, at Orum. Interment of the remains were made at Blair Cemetery. We wish to extend through our columns our sympathy to the many relatives and friends in the loss of their dear one.
