Emmett L. Skov, 93, Herman Native

Emmett L. Skov, 93, of Omaha, a Herman native, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, 15353 Pacific, Omaha. A vigil service will be 5 p.m. Friday, followed by visitation with the family until 7 p.m. at the Heafey-Hoffman-Dworak-Cutler Chapel, 7805 W. Center Rd., Omaha.

Emmett L. Skov was born Feb 2, 1919, in Herman to Victor and Hattie Skov.

He was the owner of Rembrandt Lumber Yard and Supply and managed a trucking business.

He is survived by his wife, Viola G. Skov; children and spouses, Stanley and Sherry Skov, Judy and Steve Reiling, Sue Ann and Dave Bierbaum, Mary Lou Sexton, Steven and Jackie Skov; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Bennett; and a grandson.
