Wallace Owen Johnson known to his friends as “Wally” Johnson, died Monday at the Blair Hospital. He was 83 years old, having been born April 24, 1893 at Garfield, Kentucky. Mr. Johnson had been living at the Gregerson Trailer Court on east Lincoln Street. His wife had preceded him in death.

He is survived by a son, Leslie Johnson, of Blair and by three grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a step-grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

A sister, Lucille Compton, lives in Blair.

Funeral services are being held this afternoon at the Campbell Mortuary. The Rev. Don Lovell will conduct the service. Music will be provided by Clare Cowing.

Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers will George Lantry, George Tibbets, Bob Macholan, Robert Lawson, Wayne Anderson and Warren Rounds.
