Services were Wednesday, May 8 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Dresser, Wisconsin for Violet R. Johnson of Dresser who died suddenly May 4, 1996 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Rev. Nate Bjorge officiated. Burial was in Bethesda Cemetery.

Violet R. Johnson was born November 26, 1919 to Fred and Katherine Misfeldt. She married Vern C. Johnson at First Lutheran Church in Blair November 2, 1938.

They farmed until his death in 1993.

She belonged to the National Farmers Union, the Ubet Homemakers and was president of the Bethesda ELCW. She was also a member of the church choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vern and two brothers, Wayne Misfeldt and Willard Misfeldt.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Donna Johnson of Osceola, Wisconsin; a daughter and son-in-law, Mel and Marilyn Truhlsen of Dresser; five grandchildren, Pam Eibs, Kris Andrewson, Dwayne Truhlsen, , Jodi Johnson and Kelli Opansky and three great-grandchildren, Sarah Andrewson, Cassie Andrewson, and Alec Andrewson.

Pallbearers were Darel Getschel, Gary Yost, Darrell Peterson, Duane Pederson, Charles Peper and Orval Johnson.

Music was provided by Barbara Petersen and Brad Andrewson.
