Harold Sederburg, 70, died Sunday, April 22, 2012, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak, Iowa, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Services were Wednesday, April 25, with Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home in Red Oak in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sederburg farmed in the Essex and Stanton area most of his life. He never married, but took care of his parents, Lyle and Helen Sederburg, until their deaths.

He also worked at the Red Oak Veterinary Clinic, and the sales barns in Red Oak and Stanton.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Hilma and Richard Downing of Sioux Falls, S.D., and brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Jan Sederburg of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lila May Russell; and two nephews.
