Ramona Joan Gibbs, 68

Ramona Joan Gibbs, 68, of Blair, died June 3, 2000, in Blair.

Visitation will be Monday, June 5, from 3 to 8:30 p.m. with the family receiving friends at 7:00 p.m.

Services will be held Tuesday, June 6 at 10 a.m. at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. Interment will be at German Cemetery in Washington County.

Ramona was born on January 25, 1932, in Washington County. She grew up and went to school in Fort Calhoun.

She was married on May 17, 1962, in Salt Lake City to Raymond Basil Gibbs.

Ramona’s main vocation was at Wilkinson Manufacturing in Fort Calhoun. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair.

Her hobbies were raising her children and grandchildren. She will be most remembered for her good heart. She would do anything to help her family when they needed it. She loved all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to watch the Braves games.

Ramona is survived by two daughters, Pam Ross of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Tammy Boettcher of Blair; and two sons, Eugene Gibbs of Lexington and Alan Gibbs of Omaha. Ramona also raised on special granddaughter, Corey Catanese. Ramona is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudy and Rose Wiese, and three brothers, Marvin, Robert and Delmar Wiese.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun is in charge of arrangements.
