Edward Gieselmann Died At The Blair Hospital Wednesday

Edward Gieselmann, life time resident of Washington County and farmer of the Arlington area, died at Memorial Community Hospital Wednesday, June 2nd. He had been in failing health for some time. His home had been at 440 North 23rd Street.

He was born at Arlington, August 25th, 1898, and had farmed for years in the area north of Arlington near St. Paul’s Lutheran (Bellcreek) Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Roy K. Peterson (Lorraine) and Mrs. Gene Clements (JoAnn) both of Blair. There are 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Five sisters also survive. They are Mrs. Henry Flake (Martha) and Mrs. Howard Franke (Nora) both of Herman. Mrs. John Gruenke (Elsie) and Mrs. Fritz Bartling (Edna) both of Fremont, and Miss Ella Gieselmann of Arlington.

There are three brothers who survive. They are Martin and Paul Gieselmann of Arlington and Walter Gieselmann of Blair.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington. The Rev. Donald Gesterling conducted the service and burial was made in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair.

The pallbearers were Melvin Gieselmann, Oscar Scheer, Byron Peterson, Roger Clements, Ray Wolf and Alfred O. Sick.
