Services For Mrs. Henriette Giesselmann Held Tuesday

Services for Mrs. Henriette Giesselmann were held on Tuesday, June 25th, at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington. Mrs. Giesselmann died at the Memorial Hospital of Dodge County on Friday, June 21, at the age of 81.

Mrs. Giesselmann was born on April 29, 1893, at Fontanelle, Nebraska, and has lived in this community all of her life. She was active in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and a charter member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Women’s League.

Mrs. Giesselmann was married to Henry Giesselmann on October 18, 1916, at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The couple observed their Golden Wedding Anniversary on October 16, 1966. Mr. Giesselmann passed away on May 28, 1967.

Interment was in the St. Paul’s Cemetery north of Arlington with Rev. Donald Gesterling officiating and Reckmeyer Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include five sons, 1 daughter, 2 sisters, 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The sons are: Glenn of Arlington; Lyle of Omaha; Rupert of St. Louis, Missouri; Merle of Fremont and Larry of Snyder. The daughter is Mrs. Gene (Harriet) Bloemker of Blair. The sisters are Mrs. Lottie Newkirk of Blair and Mrs. Mary Brand of Fremont.

2) Funeral leaflet Henriette Giesselmann was born April 29, 1893, the daughter of Henry and Maria Steinbach Kruger. She was born at Fontanelle and spent her entire life in the area.

She was united in Holy Matrimony with Henry Giesselmann on October 18, 1916, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The couple celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on October 18, 1966. Henry passed away on May 28, 1967.

Mrs. Giesselmann passed away June 21, 1974, at Memorial Hospital in Fremont. She is survived by five sons; Glenn, Lyle, Rupert, Merle and Larry; one daughter, Mrs. Gene (Harriet) Bloemker; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Newkirk and Mrs. Mary Brand; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
