SERVICES HELD ON THURSDAY FOR KATHRYN JONES
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday, November 11, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church for Kathryn I. Jones, 86, who died November 8, 1982, at Mercy Care Center in Omaha.
The Rev. Daniel Galas is conducting the services. Burial is in Holy Cross Cemetery at Blair.
Kathryn I. Jones was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 12, 1895. Her father’s name was Dimer. She was married to Ingvert Jones.
She was a member of American War Mothers and was a Gold Star Mother. She was also a member of the St. Francis Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ingvert.
She is survived by four daughters, Margaret Chaney, Omaha; Kathryn Ann Caron, Wheaton, Illinois; Phyllis Williams, Omaha; and Bette Mercier, Omaha; and five sons, William Jones, Papillion; James Jones, Des Moines, Iowa; Ronald Jones, Grand island, Nebraska; Leo Jones, Camas, Washington; and Eugene Jones, Vancouver, Washington. Thirty-eight grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren also survive her.
Pallbearers will be Robert Chaney, William Chaney, Fred Caron, William Jones, Michael Jones and James Jones.
Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
