Lois L. Giesselman, 72

Lois L. Giesselman, 72, of Seward, died April 19, 2008.

Lois Leona Panwitz was born June 16, 1935, in Alliance to Rudolph Herman and Leona Ada (Scheer) Panwitz.

She was a 1953 graduate of Alliance High School and the University of Nebraska where she earned a bachelor of music degree.

On June 1, 1957, she married Harry J. Giesselman in Lincoln, and shortly thereafter moved to Seward. Mrs. Giesselman taught private piano lessons for many years; was the pianist for the Seward Kiwanis Kitones and pianist for the Goehner Melodrama.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Laural and John Anderson, Linda and John Cahoon and Cindy and Bruce Mavis, all of Seward; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Kathy Giesselman of Aurora, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Karl and Cleone Panwitz of Alliance; sister-in-law, Lila Scheer of Arlington; brother-in-law and wife, Tony and Carol Giesselman of Omaha; other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Dr. Harry J. Giesselman.
