Mrs. Charles Edmondson

After an illness of about three weeks, Mrs. Chas. Edmondson passed away at her home west of town Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 30, 1912; the cause of her death being Bright's disease.

Mary Elizabeth Bates was born in Kennard, Aug. 17, 1880, and spent most of her childhood days and young womanhood in this place. On Sept. 23, 1903, she was united in marriage to Chas. Edmondson, and they have made their home on a farm west of Kennard since that time. To this union three children were born, and with the husband and two step-children besides her father, W. T. Bates of this place, and several sisters and brothers are left to mourn her loss.

The deceased was a most lovable lady in every way. A good wife, kind and considerate mother, and an excellent neighbor and her untimely death will be mourned by all who knew her.

Funeral services in charge of Rev. Karl W. G. Hiller were held Thursday afternoon and interment in the Kennard Cemetery.

Death of Mrs. Edmondson

W. C. Bates was over from Kennard last Monday and told us of the death of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Edmondson, who lived on a farm five miles west of Kennard.

Mary Elizabeth Bates was born on a farm near Kennard August 17, 1880, and spent the greater part of her girlhood days on the old Couchman farm, where her parents moved shortly after her birth. She was married to Chas. Edmondson September 23, 1903, and to this union three children were born, who with the husband and two step-childen and an aged father as well as several sisters and brothers are left to mourn her death.

The sisters are Mrs. George Robinson, Mrs. Otto Kempke, Mrs. Jasper Rosenbalm and Miss Lena Bates; the brothers are John, T. W., Frank and Charles, all of whom reside in the neighborhood of Kennard.

Funeral services were held Thursday and were in charge of Rev. Hiller. Interment was made in the Kennard Cemetery.
