FORMER HERMAN RESIDENT BURIED IN ALTA, IOWA

Mrs. David Benett of Rembrandt, Iowa died September 17th at a Storm Lake Hospital. She is the former Lucille Skov, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Skov of Alta, Iowa formerly of Herman.

She was born at Herman February 19, 1921 and was 49 years of age. In 1967 she underwent Open Heart surgery and in July 1969 she willed her body to the University of Iowa for research.

Survivors besides her husband David are three daughters, Mrs. Jim Daugherty (Ruth) of Coulterville, California, Mrs. Ron Fisher (Joyce) of Spencer, Iowa, Mrs. Allen Kruchman of Rembrandt, Iowa; a son, Dick, a student at Ames, Iowa; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Skov of Alta, Iowa; a brother, Emmett Skov of Rembrandt and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Rembrandt, Iowa. Among the relatives and friends from this vicinity attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. George Suverkrubbe, Mr. and Mrs. Carl C. Sorensen, and Alfred Skov of Blair; Mr. and Mrs. Carson Petersen of Kennard, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Skov, and others from Bennington, Herman and Fremont.
