Carroll C. Nelson, 81, of Fort Calhoun died Aug. 4, 2010.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9, at Roeder Mortuary in Omaha. Interment will be at West Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, also at the mortuary.

Carroll C. Nelson was born April 17, 1929. Many people in Omaha will remember him from his 37 years of service as a postal carrier.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy J. Nelson; daughters, Sharon Eddinger Galvin, Susette Eddinger Wilson; son, Daniel M. Eddinger; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Eddinger.
