Services for John F. “Jack” Madsen, 67, of Blair, were Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at the First Lutheran Church in Blair.
John F. “Jack” Madsen was born July 3, 1932, to Harold and Selma (Hansen) Madsen. He was baptized April 1, 1945, and confirmed April 14, 1946, at First Lutheran Church in Blair.
He graduated from Blair High School in 1950 and enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War.
He attended and graduated from Dana College, where he lettered in four sports and earned a degree in business administration.
On Feb. 8, 1958, he married his wife, Alice. They moved to Vista, Calif. He worked as a teacher and coach.
He is survived by three children, Lynn, David and Kelly Madsen, all of Vista, Calif.; two sisters, Lois Donaldson of Boulder City, Nev., and Harriet Pitt of Denver, Colo.; five brothers, Burl and Charles of Atlanta, Ga., Donald of Stillwater, Minn., Murl and Mesa, Ariz. and Robert of Blair.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
