Opal Warrick, 86, of Blair, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services were Saturday, Aug. 7, at Country Bible Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon Friday, Aug. 6, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Opal Mencke was born Jan. 16, 1924, in Blair to Otto and Lizzy (Christ) Mencke. She was a graduate of Blair High School.

On Jan. 6, 1946, she married Willard Warrick in Kansas.

The couple farmed from 1946 to 1965 when they moved to Blair. After moving to Blair, Mrs. Warrick worked at the Memorial Community Hospital for 17 years as a laundry attendant.

She was a past member of the Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess.

She was a member of the Blair VFW Auxiliary Post #1251, Country Bible Church, and the Silver Cords.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-laws, Bill and Linda of Blair, Dave and Lois of Blair, and Rex and Marlene of Plattsmouth; two daughters and son-in-law, Vickie and Denny Brummer of Blair and Jackie Warrick of El Paso, Texas; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Roy Rapp of Burley, Idaho; sister-in-law, Betty Carnes of Blair.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Memorials are suggested to Country Bible Church or Memorial Community Hospital.
