Evelyn M. (Wilkins) Gillett, 82 of Blair died Saturday, March 15, 1997, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Gillett was born June 18, 1914, to Albert A. and Mary (Voorhies) Wilkins in rural Blair. She attended the Blair Schools and was a life-long resident of Blair. On June 20, 1933, she married Ray Gillett in Blair.

Survivors are her husband, Ray of Blair; a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Tom Gilmore of Missouri Valley, Iowa; three granddaughters, Rosemary Danielson, Theresa Spencer and Cathy Pitt and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
