Mrs. Jean Gilliam, widow of former Blair resident Clifford Gilliam, died in Omaha August 2, 1987, from a lingering illness.

She was active in women’s clubs in Omaha and after her retirement in the Federal Building, she served as president of the Nebraska Chapter of Reserve Officers Association of the Ladies’ Auxiliary.

She was 64 years old.

Gilliam is survived by one brother, John Egbert of Alexandria, Virginia; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ada Andersen of Blair; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Harry Larsen of Creighton, and one brother-in-law, Mr. Ben Gilliam of Shittier, California.

Funeral services were held August 6, 1987, at Trinity Cathedral in Omaha, and burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
