Services were Monday, Dec. 16, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel for Fred C. “Buss” Gilliland, 66, of Blair who died Dec. 12, 1996, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Fred C. Gilliland was born April 30, 1930, in Blair to Albert and Agnes Ackerman Gilliland. He attended the Blair schools. He was a mason, working for Hagen Construction Company in Omaha.

He was a member of the Blair Masonic Lodge, Blair Volunteer Fire Department, Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Bricklayer’s Union.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Lyle, Bill and Albert.

He is survived by a daughter, Penny Spinks of Lyndon, Kans.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Jack of Blair and George of Houston, Tex., and a sister, Marie Mindenhall of Omaha.
