Funeral services were Wednesday, May 30, at the Valley Chapel for Lois M. Gilmore, 73, of Arlington and formerly of Omaha who died May 26, 1990, at Arbor Manor in Fremont following a long illness. Rev. Gale Prentice officiated. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Lois M. Gilmore was born June 20, 1916 at Uehling, Nebraska, to George and Sarah Delpha Hively Thompson. She graduated from the Waterloo Schools.

She married Marlow Gilmore June 15, 1946, at her parents’ home in Waterloo.

She was a housewife and also worked at a cafeteria in the Omaha Public Schools. The family lived in Omaha for many years.

After her husband’s death she moved to Arlington where she still maintained her residence. She had been confined to Arbor Manor for the last 12 months.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Marlow, who died November 22, 1985; and by a grandson, Timmy who died March 20, 1980.

She is survived by one son and his wife, Thomas and Kristie Gilmore of Arlington and two grandsons, Tom Gilmore and Troy Gilmore.

Pallbearers were Rodney Esch, Jack Sumnick, Delbert Lawrence, Ralph Wilson, Don Misfeldt and Taylor Woodland.
