Alice Edington
Died on 6/20/1919

None

The family of Willard Newell received word last week from Virginia of the death of the 9 months old baby girl Alice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edington. Mrs. Edington was formerly Jean Newell, daughter of Mrs. Oscar Newell of Plainview, and a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Newell of Blair. The child had been sleeping on the bed and in some unaccountable way got her little head through the slats at the head of the bed and when found by her mother, was dead. The family had but recently moved to Virginia from Oswego, New York, and were among strangers at the time. The death is keenly felt by the relatives as it is the second fatal accident to occur in the family within a few years, Mr. Oscar Newell having met his death some months ago, while driving a car near his home.

Note: Since no death date was given, the news article date was used.
