Maxine V. Stork, 89, of Arlington

Maxine V. Stork, 89, of Arlington, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at A. J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2012, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington. Visitation will be Sunday 4-8 p.m. with family receiving friends 6-8 p.m. at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Arlington.

Maxine Vivian Sandeen was born July 9, 1922, in rural Hooper to Edwin and Laura (Schuett) Sandeen.

She lived in the Hooper and Arlington vicinity all of her life.

She married Leonard Jon Stork on June 18, 1940, at the former St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Winslow.

She played the organ at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Winslow for many years.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in rural Arlington and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

Mr. Stork died on April 8, 1989.

Mrs. Stork is survived by a son, Eldon Stork of Arlington; daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Sammie J. Hollingsworth of Hattiesburg, Miss.; brother, Leland Sandeen of Fremont; sister-in-law, Arlene Stork of Arlington; three grandchildren, Scott Hollingsworth of Hattiesburg, Miss., Karen and husband Tony Mentzer of Valley; Jeffrey and wife Sherone Stork of Arlington; and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; three brothers, Melvin, Merle and Gene Sandeen; a sister, Loretta May; one daughter-in-law, Jeanette Stork; one granddaughter-in-law, Jackie Stork; and two great-grandsons, Justin James Stork & Jason Jon Stork.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Arlington.
