WALTER L. MADSEN DIED AT BLAIR HOSPITAL MAY 9th

Walter L. Madsen, retired farmer who has been living at 744 North 15th Street, died last Friday, May 9th, at Blair Community Hospital. He was 66 years of age, having been born at Blair on January 4, 1909.

Walter, during most of his adult life, had farmed with his brothers west of Blair. They retired from farming and moved to Blair several years ago. He never married.

He is survived by three brothers and two sisters. The brothers are Harry, Elmer and Nels Madsen. The sisters are Mrs. Ella Mencke of Blair and Mrs. Chris Korshoj of Herman.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Sanford Sorgen conducted the service and burial was made in the Orum Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

Pallbearers were Earl Korshoj, Frank Korshoj, Ralph Madsen, Albert Madsen, Jr, Howard Loftis and Charles Scott.
