It is now settled the two bodies given up by the Missouri river, one just below the Blair bridge and the other at Florence, were the murderers of Deputy Marshal Geo. Butcher, of Mo. Valley, and their identity established as the Parslow brothers from the vicinity of Davenport, Ia., and not Charles Smitch, who with the aid of A.D. Meekum, his half brother, escaped from the penitentiary at Anamosa after shooting his guard, as was believed by Butcher’s friends. Smitch and his half brother were captured at Winnipeg, Man., after they had killed a constable. So that bunch from Mo. Valley did ………….. (The article is cut off here.)
