JoAnn M. Hilgenkamp, 68, of Arlington

JoAnn M. Hilgenkamp, 68, of Arlington died on Friday, May 25, 2012, at her home after a six-year fight with cancer.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dugan Funeral Chapel in Fremont Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.

JoAnn M. Bradbury was born August 2, 1943, in Fremont and was raised in Hooper and Schuyler before moving to Fremont during grade school. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1961.

On September 2, 1962, she married Gary Hilgenkamp. She had lived in Arlington since her marriage.

She dedicated her life to being God's caretaker of horses and dogs and making his world prettier with her flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; a daughter, Sherie Hilgenkamp and her significant other, Tom Streeter, of Osage, Wyo.; a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Wendy Hilgenkamp of Arlington; a brother, Ronald Bradbury of Lincoln; two granddaughters, Hannah and Lily Hilgenkamp; two nieces, Becky Lamb and Tracy Knorr; a brother-in- law, Rollyn Hilgenkamp of Nickerson; and sister-in-law, Judy Bushek of Denver.

Memorials are suggested to the Dodge County and Omaha Humane Societies, St. Paul's Lutheran School, and Lutheran Family Services.
