Services Wednesday for Mrs. Gesch

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23 at Campbell Funeral Home in Blair for Mary Jane Gesch, who died Sunday, May 13th at Logan Valley Manor in Lyons.

She was born on October 24, 1887, in Decatur, Nebraska, to Charles and Betsy Ann (Butcher) McClain. She was baptized in the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints at Decatur, Nebraska, and was a nurse at the old Blair Hospital and Crowell Home for many years, before retiring at the age of 75. She resided at the Manor in Lyons for the past ten years.

Mrs. Gesch was preceded in death by her husband, William; two sons, Charles and Emmett Allen; two daughters, Merna Saltzman and Mable Kramer; and two brothers.

Reverend Russell Merriott will officiate.

Services for Gesch May 23

Services for Mary Jane Gesch of Lyons will be Wednesday, May 23, at the Campbell Funeral Home.

Gesch was born Oct. 24, 1887, in Decatur to Charles and Betsy Ann (Butcher) McClain. She died Sunday, May 13, at Logan Valley Manor in Lyons. She was 96.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Gesch and two brothers. Survivors include her son Waine Allen and daughter Nettie Nottleman, both of Blair; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
