William Glasner Services are Held Saturday

Services were held Saturday, June 30, at Schuyler, Nebraska, for William Glasner, a prominent farmer, who died Thursday, June 28, at his home at 1756 Lincoln Street, Blair, Nebraska.

Pastor Wayne Josephson of Kennard, Nebraska, officiated at the 9 a.m. service. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

William Glasner was born to Joseph, Sr., and Mathilda Hall Glasner in Colfax County on the family farm southeast of Leigh, Nebraska. William was the youngest of eleven children. He attended rural school in Colfax County. He retired from active farming in 1964, moving to Schuyler, Nebraska, where he and his sister, Amelia, made their home.

On January 16, 1974, William Glasner was united in marriage to Florence Schmidt. They made their home in Blair, Nebraska. This marriage was richly blessed with mutual trust, kindness and love.

William Glasner was an active farmer all of his life. He is survived by his wife, Florence; one brother, Charles H. Glasner, Schuyler, Nebraska; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Virgene) Stricklett, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Mrs. Russell (Gaye) Moseman, Blair, Nebraska, his step-grandchildren, Russell Moseman and Ann, Peter and Susan Stricklett; and by many relatives and friends.

Mrs. Eugene Dostal was organist for the services.

Pallbearers were Richard Holoubek, Larry Muhle, George L. Sayers, Ernest Sayers, Jerry Vrba and Willard Went.

Arrangements for the services were made under the direction of Svoboda Funeral Home, Schuyler, Nebraska.
