A memorial mass for Darlene Nielsen Gleeson, who died at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, December 26, 1994, is being held Thursday, December 29 in West Des Moines, Iowa, at St. Theresa Catholic Church.

Darlene Nielsen Gleeson was born November 25, 1928, at Blair to James and Agnes Nielsen. She attended Brewster School, Blair High School and Dana College.

On April 16, 1953, she married Frank Gleeson. They lived in Omaha prior to moving to West Des Moines, Iowa, in 1959.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; children, Suzanne, Kate and Tom of Iowa City, Iowa, and Dan and his wife, Beverly, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a sister and brother-in-law, Erma and Marlin Taylor; a brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Elsie Nielsen and a sister, Roma Randall.
