Christian Andersen Died Monday at the Age of 73 Christian m. Andersen, a life-time resident of Blair and vicinity, died early Monday, October 15th at his home at 1566 Park Street. He was living in retirement, having spent most of his active life as a farmer near Blair.

He was born February 9, 1900, at Blair and grew to manhood here. He was married to Claire Crone, at Tekamah, on October 22, 1936.

He is survived by his wife, Claire, and by three sons and four daughters.

The sons are Eugene and Duane Andersen, of Blair, and Dale Andersen of Bonesteel, S.D. A son, Howard, was killed in a traffic accident while working for the City of Blair Utilities Department three weeks ago.

The daughters are Mrs. Bill Dudley (Arlene) of Herman; Mrs. Kenneth Truhlsen (Norma), Mrs. Wallace Plummer (Alice) and Mrs. Clarence Sheets (Helen) all of Blair.

A sister, Mrs. Orville Jepsen (Irene) resides in Omaha.

There are 32 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the First Lutheran Church in Blair with the Rev. Robert Albers conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

Pallbearers were Clifford Hansen, Robert Petersen, Lyle Christensen, Lyle Truhlsen, Jack Price and Marvin Jessen. The honorary pallbearers were Walter Petersen, Elmer Truhlsen, H.P.M. Hansen, Floyd Nottleman, William Vogt and Soren Wolsmann.
